L. A. Berry is a GoodReads and Amazon Author and an alumna of the Faber Academy. In addition to her first novel Silencio, she has written short stories, flash fiction, a screenplay, and some poetry. She is working on a second novel set in York during the 1960s which explores the strength of the maternal protective instincts for a son with learning limitations. The relationships between birth parents and their adopted children will be the topic for her third thriller novel. Since her return to the UK in 2002, she has travelled and lived part-time in Spain. She speaks some Spanish, loves dancing and zumba, reads widely, and is fascinated by human emotions and relationships. The stories of the Stolen Babies of Spain touched her heart as a mother and an ex-midwife, and inspired her first suspense novel.
